چکیده

There is limited research on the bond behavior of NSM strips embedded in corroded/cracked reinforced concrete (RC). Therefore, this study was initiated to evaluate between RC and strips. The test specimens consist two prisms (reinforced plain) mounted from opposite sides with After 28 days moisture curing, twenty-four were immersed saline solution exposed three accelerated corrosion levels steel mass loss 2.2, 4.1 8.1%. evaluated using double shear pullout test. showed that cracks increased increase level. maximum crack width reached 0.91 mm at level 3. corroded reinforcing 2.1% for 1–8.3% strength cracked significantly decreased reduction 48% other characteristics including slip, toughness stiffness also percent (31, 67 35%), respectively. failure mode splitting concrete. Theoretical models proposed predicting based width. excellent agreement experimental results current literature.

Bond Deformability of Reinforced Concrete Members

The usual earthquake resistant design philosophy of ductile frame buildings allows the beams to form plastic hinges adjacent to beam-column connections. In order to carry out this design philosophy, the ultimate bond or shear strength of the beam should be greater than the flexural yielding force and should not degrade before reaching its required ductility. The behavior of RC members dominated...

Hysteretic Behavior of Conventionally Reinforced Concrete Coupling Beams in Reinforced Concrete Coupled Shear Wall

This paper presents the experimental results of four full-scale coupling beams in which only horizontal reinforcements are placed, without diagonal reinforcements, with the aim to develop reinforcement details for coupling beams used in connecting side walls in a wall-slab structural system. Each coupling beam specimen was designed according to the deep-beam design procedure that does not use d...

Tension Softening Behavior of Fiber Reinforced Concrete

The project aims to study tensile softening behavior of fiber reinforced concrete .Concrete is very much weak in tension but by addition of randomly oriented short crimped steel fibers will change the behavior from brittle to ductile. In the present work, the steel fibers were added at the volume fraction, being 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% to the normal strength concrete and high strength concrete. The ...
